Vision Statement:
The Vision of R.G. Central Middle School is to be an asset in the community; developing students who are college and career ready.

Central Middle School was built in the early 1960s in an effort to provide a second middle school to the district and its growing numbers of enrollment. The original date of completion was to be in 1961 cost $1,607,170 and reaching 109,886 square feet.

The instructional focus of the school is that of a middle school. It is broken into wings that are used for different grade levels or teams. The school is set up also where the elective areas are set away from the core classrooms. The classrooms for the gym, home economics, band, choir, and shop are all located on the opposite end of the building. This environment creates a building that is conducive to learning for all students in all classroom settings.

In 1967 the final additions were added onto the school. In the 1970s a track was added to the side of the school building as well. In April 2002, a bond issue was passed and the district was able to add air-conditioning units to the building. More recently in 2009, another bond issue was passed to allow for renovations such as painting and other things to be done to the building. In the 2010-2011 school year, Central Middle also had all restrooms in the building updated and renovated.
